Jessica Chavez, E.I.T.

Wastewater Division Manager

Jessica began working on septic systems and septic development soil testing in 1999, over 20 years of wastewater experience, and the early days of her career were spent working with her uncle (Richard Lease) in the field. Jessica is currently an active member of the County of Sonoma’s Land Use Advisory Panel (LUAP) and Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), in addition to being active in the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). She prides herself on being informed of ever changing septic related policies in northern California counties, as well as understanding older policies and the history of the counties she works in. Following the October 2017 wildfires, she focused on assisting with County of Sonoma septic policies to help fire victims rebuild. Jessica received a BS in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University and is a member of Tau Beta Pi, The Engineering Honor Society. Jessica currently has her EIT certification and is working towards becoming a Professional Engineer When not working Jessica enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband Jason.
