BC Engineering Group Expands Wastewater Services

We are pleased to announce that BC Engineering Group has increased its team by forty percent in the last four months. Due to the fires that took place October 2017, BC Engineering Group has become consumed with helping to rebuild the community. Our Wastewater Department had been overwhelmed and overworked helping fire properties to begin rebuilding. The addition of our new staff is to further support our projects as well as our community that we serve.

We are excited to announce the promotion of
Jonathan Erker, who has been with BC Engineering Group since the first quarter of BC Engineering Group’s inception. Jonathan attended Santa Rosa Junior College for civil engineering and surveying technology and has become a vast source of knowledge for septic design, regulations, and construction practices in northern California jurisdictions. Jonathan is now our Wastewater Department Head who coordinates, manages, and oversees all wastewater projects with the firms Principal Engineer, Thomas Billeter, and Senior Wastewater Project Manager, Jessica Chavez, E.I.T. His adaptability, quick learning style, along with his high attention to detail and organizational skills has made him a true asset to the Wastewater team

Laura Irwin, now our Wastewater Department administrator, joined BC Engineering group over a year ago. Laura oversaw the administrative duties, both Wastewater Department and the Civil Department. This became an overwhelming task, so the hiring of
Sarah Maudlin was to oversee the Civil Department tasks, and now Laura can focus her organizational skills to assisting our Wastewater Department with anything they need. Morgan Peterson, another new addition is the new Administrative Assistant for the Wastewater division, providing further support to the team. Morgan graduated Spring of 2018, from Sonoma State, with a bachelor’s degree. She oversees all administrative areas of BC Engineering Group and works side-by-side with many of the Senior Project Managers to help guide projects smoothly as well as working alongside our engineers out in the field.

Another addition,
Matthew Sullivan, who just recently graduated from Santa Rosa Junior College with a natural science degree has joined our office as an engineering technician. Matthew has been working closely with our engineers out in the field as well as assisting in the office helping draft plans for septic systems.

With the expansion of our Wastewater team we are more efficient and productive, and able to serve a larger bandwidth of wastewater projects. We are excited and looking forward to serving our community in a larger role and continuing our growth trend.
